Known personages spotted in Budapest

Instead of attempting some kind of introduction to the aims of this blog, or of my life, or something, I am going to start by reporting a couple of sightings of people I thought I recognised. I have been here in Budapest for 5 weeks or so, by the way. Ooops that counts as introduction. Anyway.

1. Corneliu Vadim Tudor, driving a German tour bus on Budafoki ut., XI kerület. Imagine my surprise as I spotted the leader of the Romania Mare party at the wheel of a luxury tour coach! His vehicle drew level with the number 3 bus I was surrounded by, heading for Moricz Zsigmond Körtér. And I thought he didn't like Hungarians.

2. Chris, a former colleague from my years in Bielsko Biala, Poland. On the number 6 tram (not a Combino) heading over Petöfi Híd on the way to the Műszaki Egyetem. He blanked me and all.

Or they could have been people who just vaguely looked like people I recognised. It does remind me slightly of a feeling I have been having from time to time recently, namely that some of the "extras" in the film of my life are being recycled. This in turn suggests that it is a low budget production, which I wouldn't argue with.
Anyway.
